2010 Open House

2009 BOP Open House for Members and Friends Only will be held on the weekend of May 1st and 2nd, 2010 from 11am to 3pm. All our members and friends will receive an invitation in the mail. Visitors will receive a tour of the facility and interesting information about the many birds we cared for in 2009, those that had to spend the winter and part of the summer at the facility. Storm tossed raptors inundate BoP -plea for donations

This past Monday some of nature’s most powerful storms, tornadic thunderstorms, came upon our area well after dark, uprooting large trees with devastating winds and shredding vegetation with wind-driven hail. Imagine being caught outside? BoP has been swamped with more than 30 stunned and bruised raptors this week. More bedraggled refugees are arriving daily. Our ICU is jam packed. Running out of food, we’ve ordered 10,000 more mice. But food comes at a steep price: $10.00 per pound of mice. So we’re making a special plea here today for donations.
