Adopt a Bird

Filed under Get Involved
The cost of operating the Birds of Prey Foundation is very high. The rates shown below represent the average annual cost of feeding and housing just ONE raptor of each species listed. Cage construction/maintenance and special medical expenses are not included. A percentage of our patients may stay longer even than a year to fully recover strength and agility.
To insure our birds’ future, their care and housing, we’ve launched a program that allows you to help directly by adopting or sponsoring a bird! As a sponsor, you will receive a certificate, a photograph, and the history of your adopted bird. Your contribution is tax deductible under IRS laws.
Because we care for wild, injured raptors and offer lifetime residence to some wild, damaged birds, we cannot be open to the general public. However, our sponsors are invited to a special “open house” each year. If you choose to sponsor, you will be notified of the date by mail.
If you would like to help fill their stomachs and keep the raptors healthy, please scroll down, choose a bird and click the “Make a Donation” button to donate online;
OR if you prefer to mail us your donation, you may print and fill out the Adoption Form and return it to the address below:
